Services Description:

MyContractor411™ is a browser-based, technology platform provider of professional contractor information, reviews and proprietary scoring for use and consumption by homeowners seeking such information with respect to professional home improvement contractors with whom a homeowner may be considering hiring in conjunction with a home improvement project. The Services include facilitating access by a homeowner/consumer to third-party services that searches for and matches prospective borrowers to professional contractors with whom the homeowner is seeking for purposes of obtaining additional information. If we provide access to request loan offers from unrelated, third-party lenders, the Services may include a link to a third-party user interface permitting a homeowner to request, view and compare offers received from third-party lenders, and a payment request verification service allowing homeowners to affirmatively authorize payment requests made by a contractor. With respect to access to third-party lenders and comparison of offers, the Services are intended only to assist you in your financial organization and decision making and is broad in scope. Our Services are intended to allow you to obtain general information, including but not limited to, the ability to find third-party financial providers for certain financial request services and products. The Services are designed to provide consumers information about various professional home improvement contractors and, if access to financial offers is available, information about various lenders, issuers, financial institutions, nonbank financial institutions, and/or financial services providers and the marketplace lending market (collectively “financial providers”) through the Services’ content and tools. This includes, but is not limited to, information, content and tools related to products and/or services such as personal loans. MyContractor411™ provides such information, content and tools as part of the Services but is not a lending institution, loan broker or other financially related service provider itself and does not charge a fee for its services. We do not accept loan applications or issue loans or any other financial products nor do we act as an agent or advisor to you or any financial provider. Third-party financial request providers are solely responsible for any services they may provide to you.

All rates, fees, and terms are presented without guarantee and are subject to change pursuant to each provider's discretion and may not be available in all states or for all types of loans. There is no guarantee you will be approved or qualify for the advertised rates, fees, or terms presented. We do not guarantee acceptance into any particular program or specific terms or conditions with any financial provider; approval standards are established and maintained solely by financial providers. We do not guarantee that the rates offered include the lowest rates available in the market or the rate that will ultimately be charged. This website does not include all lending companies or all available lending offers that may be available to you.

MyContractor411™ also provides financial partners with information about prospective consumers, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Deletion Request Rights

You have the right to request that we delete any of your Personal Information that we have collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions. Once we receive and confirm your verifiable consumer request, we will delete (and direct our service providers to delete) your Personal Information from our records, unless an exception applies.

We may deny your deletion request if retaining the Personal Information is necessary for us or our service providers to:

  1. Complete the transaction for which we collected the Personal Information, provide a good or service that you requested, take actions reasonably anticipated within the context of our ongoing business relationship with you, or otherwise perform our contract with you.
  2. Detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity, or prosecute those responsible for such activities.
  3. Debug products to identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality.
  4. Exercise free speech, ensure the right of another consumer to exercise their free speech rights, or exercise another right provided for by law.
  5. Comply with the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act (Cal. Penal Code § 1546 sec.)
  6. Engage in public or peer-reviewed scientific, historical, or statistical research in the public interest that adheres to all other applicable ethics and privacy laws, when the information's deletion may likely render impossible or seriously impair the research's achievement, if you previously provided informed consent.
  7. Enable solely internal uses that are reasonably aligned with consumer expectations based on your relationship with us.
  8. Comply with a legal obligation.
  9. Make other internal and lawful uses of that information that are compatible with the context in which you provided it.
Exercising Access, Data Portability, and Deletion Rights

To make a request according to your rights under CCPA, email us at info@mycontractor411.org and specify type of notification request you are making in the body of the email or mail your request for the attention of the Privacy / Legal Department to MyContractor411™, 13010 Morris Rd., STE 150, Alpharetta, GA 30004. California Consumers may exercise these rights via an authorized agent who meets the agency requirements of the CCPA. We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm that the personal information relates to you. Any request you submit to us is subject to an identification and residency verification process

The verifiable consumer request must:
  • Provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected Personal Information or an authorized representative.
  • Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.
Verifying Your Request

We cannot respond to your request or provide you with Personal Information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the Personal Information relates to you. Making a verifiable consumer request does not require you to create an account with us. We will only use Personal Information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify your identity or authority to make the request. We may otherwise limit our response to your request as permitted under applicable law.

Whenever feasible, we will match the identifying information provided by you to the Personal Information we maintain. Some personal information we maintain about Consumers is not sufficiently associated with enough personal information about the Consumer for us to be able to verify that it is a particular consumer's personal information (e.g., data tied only to a pseudonymous browser ID). As required by the CCPA, we do not include that personal information in response to verifiable consumer requests. If we cannot comply with a request, we will explain the reasons in our response.

We will make commercially reasonable efforts to identify consumer personal information that we collect, process, store, disclose, and otherwise use and to respond to your California Consumer privacy rights requests. We will typically not charge a fee to fully respond to your requests, but we may charge a reasonable fee, or refuse to act upon a request, if your request is excessive, repetitive, unfounded, or overly burdensome.

With respect to requests submitted on your behalf by your authorized agent, please note that we may deny a request from an authorized agent if the agent cannot provide your signed permission demonstrating that they have been authorized by you to act on your behalf.

Response Timing and Format

We endeavor to respond to a verifiable consumer request within 45 days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to 90 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. If you have an account with us, we will deliver our written response to that account.

Non-Descrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

We do not currently engage in the type of sharing covered by that law and so no such list exists. We do not make any representations concerning third parties that do not collect personal information directly through our Services.
